Privacy policy

This is an informative translation. In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

What data we process and why

• Website forms (booking a visit, a quote with photos and cold storage reservations) and WhatsApp: name, telephone, email, photos and a description of your garment, to reply to you and give you a quote.
• If you tick the box, your email or telephone, to send you news and offers from the house.

Legal basis

• Replying to your requests (visit, quote or reservation): steps you ask us to take before a contract (art. 6.1.b of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR).
• Commissions: performance of the contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
• Invoicing, accounting: compliance with legal obligations (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
• News and offers: your express consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR).

The data marked as required are needed to deal with your request; without them we cannot reply to you. We do not make automated decisions or create profiles.

How long we keep it

For as long as needed to deal with your request or your purchase and, after that, for the periods required by law: 6 years for accounting books and records (article 30 of the Spanish Commercial Code) and 4 years for tax-relevant data (Spanish General Tax Act). Photos sent for quotes that do not lead to a commission are deleted within one year at most.

Who we share it with

No one, unless required by law. The following provide services to us as data processors:

• Hostinger: website hosting, on a server in the United Kingdom, a country covered by a European Commission adequacy decision.
• Our email provider: the website's emails and our mailbox.
• Our accountants: bookkeeping and tax obligations.

If you write to us on WhatsApp, your messages also go through WhatsApp (Meta), which has its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, portability or restriction of processing, or object to it, by writing to info@carlospiel.com. You can withdraw your consent to news and offers at any time, without affecting processing carried out before. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

This policy follows the GDPR and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and the Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).
