How it is worked
Shearling keeps you warm without a lining: the wool is on the inside and the suede on the outside. That is why it needs specialist cleaning.
How to care for it
Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, excessive humidity and direct heat. Perfume, perspiration and spilt liquids can damage the garment: have it professionally cleaned once a year, drummed and brushed, which gives the hair back its fall and its shine. And from 1 May to 15 November, keep it in cold storage: the heat at home dries out the pelt, and moths do not survive the cold.
