The pelt of the karakul lamb: a tight curl, a lustrous sheen and a pattern that is never the same in two pieces.
How it is worked
It is worked in backs, matching each piece by the pattern of its curl. As well as long and short coats, we make astrakhan hats.
How to care for it
Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, excessive humidity and direct heat. Perfume, perspiration and spilt liquids can damage the garment: have it professionally cleaned once a year, drummed and brushed, which gives the hair back its fall and its shine. And from 1 May to 15 November, keep it in cold storage: the heat at home dries out the pelt, and moths do not survive the cold.
